I was wondering if anyone could recommend me any good online wedding/bridesmaid dress shops. I have read a lot of mixed reviews for Lightinthebox.com and I was just wondering if anyone has bought there dresses online?

I bought my wedding dress online. A lot of people advise against it, but I loved my dress and don't regret buying online at all. I saved TONS of money! Just be sure you actually go try on dresses in person prior to buying, because wedding dresses are quite a bit different than regular clothing, and things that seem like they'd look good often don't. Just know what works for your body.
As far as websites go, there are only a couple I would trust for such a purchase. Make sure wherever you buy from has an actual phone number where you can talk to actual people. And make sure if they have McAfee Secure or Norton Secured that you can actually click those links and verify the legitimacy of the website. Lightinthebox.com does have a good reputation as far as I know. I bought my dress from http://www.simplybridal.com/ and I was VERY happy. They are located in the US, they have a physical space in Los Angeles, they custom make the dresses for you, and they even have a customer friendly return policy. After seeing my dress, two of my girlfriends have bought their wedding dresses from there as well, and are extremely pleased. Other sites that are okay to order from:

Do not buy wedding gowns or bridesmaid dresses online. You need to touch and feel the fabric, try on the dresses. You can't tell anything really substantial about a dress by an online picture.

We keep an updated list of stores that are authorized to sell designer wedding dresses online. Buy your wedding dress from one of these stores and be sure you are getting the real thing! There are many sites out there that will steal a designers picture to put on their website and make a copy. Although this can be a cheap way to get your next dress, you will not be receiving what is in the picture. Companies that do this have been added to our do not buy list.
